Frequently Asked Questions

Q: HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

I open my books 3-4 times a year and book myself 3-4 months at a time. I always do my bookings using google forms. There will be what I call a “booking day” where I ask that anyone wanting to get tattooed to complete a google form that will ask all the specific questions regarding your tattoo concept. The form will be open for 24 hours, and once all the forms are submitted I review and select the projects I am most interested in or will be a good addition to my portfolio. The best way to stay in the loop about when my books will be open is to sign up for the Spring Fever Tattoo newsletter or keep an eye on my Instagram. If you sign up for the newsletter all info is sent directly to your inbox as well as the booking form when it goes live! The link to the form will also be in my bio of my Instagram account on the booking day.

Q: Does submitting a form guarantee me an appointment?

Unfortunately, no. I receive more requests then I am able to accommodate and try my best to fit as many projects in as possible. If the project is something I don’t think is suitable for my style, or something I am unable to tattoo you will be notified!

Q: Why are your books closed?

I have found that booking only a few months in advance/at a time is the easiest way for me to stay organized and prioritize ongoing projects while maintaining a good work life balance.

Q: Do you do cover ups?

I take on cover ups on a case by case basis. In terms of covering scar tissue, I will have to see the area you’d like covered to ensure the scar tissue is “settled” enough to tattoo over safely. I take a lot of pride in the process of covering scars and really enjoy working with clients to achieve a scar coverup that they are happy with.

When it comes to covering up tattoos, one must keep in mind that cover ups are a very technical project to successfully pull off. You must be very open minded in terms of subject matter, style, composition as well as size and placement. If I am not 100% confident the concept will be able to work for your cover up, I will always offer my honest opinion and make suggestions in regards to what would be the best course of action to facilitate your cover up. In some cases, when the tattoo is too large, dark or dense to be covered properly I will suggest laser tattoo lightening / removal prior to getting your cover up done. I am always happy to give insight into the cover up process so please feel free to contact me with a photo of your existing tattoo as well as examples of what you were hoping to cover it with.

Q: Q: WHAT STYLEs DO YOU LIKE OR DISLIKE TATTOOING?

I am someone who finds inspiration in many different styles and facets of tattooing, art and design. I enjoy tattooing in the styles of American traditional, illustrative, fine line and black work/dot work. I enjoy working in both colour or black and grey as well!

I do not tattoo realism, hyper realism or micro tattoos. If you are unsure if your tattoo concept is in a style I would be willing to take on please feel free to inquire! If your project is not something I’m able to accommodate I can try my best to refer you to someone more suitable!

Q: Do you offer custom or Flash?

I like to do both! I typically post flash or pre-drawn designs on my instagram account or prepare them for specific flash days. Flash designs are usually applied in the traditional sense of the term, a design that is meant to be tattooed multiple times on many different people. If you see a design you like or have your own idea in mind, I’m happy to create a custom design that is unique to you based on the concept.

Q: Are you able to add to or rework other artists’ pieces?

I take rework projects on a case by case basis. I will usually always recommend going back to your original artist to have add ons or touch ups done to existing tattoos. If there are extenuating circumstances such as a tattooer is no longer tattooing or you can not go back to them for more personal reasons, I am willing to chat about that and consider your options.

Q: I love your art and am interested in collaborating with you on something not tattooed related - is that possible?

I am always open to taking on non-tattoo related art projects or commissions if my schedule will allow it! Please feel free to reach out by email with a proposal of your idea and we can chat about it!
